Environmental Quality & Health
Environmental Quality and Health Technical Assistance Services
CCEEJ offers a variety of services related to environmental quality and health, ranging from brownfields support, environmental justice assessments, health equity, and more. These services are led by our partners at the Center for Creative Land Recycling, Public Health Alliance of Southern California, Climate Science Alliance, Environmental Protection Network, and the Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals.
Brownfields
CCEEJ provides services to help communities assess and address brownfields sites in their jurisdiction. Services include identifying funding for brownfields, providing guidance on developing brownfields projects, and more.
Remediation support
We advance environmental justice by supporting communities' pollution and other environmental quality and health projects.
Land redevelopment, planning, and property use support
CCEEJ helps remove barriers to land revitalization and redevelopment. This brings communities quality of life improvements and economic benefits.
Using Healthy Places Index (HPI)
CCEEJ offers trainings on the Public Health Alliance of Southern California's HPI tool, which can be used to strengthen grant proposals. HPI helps communities identify and map health inequities in California that are driven by underlying social conditions in order to prioritize and inform equitable community investments, programs, and policies.
Environmental justice assessments and analyses
We leverage our expertise to assist communities' needs for environmental assessments and analyses. Through this service, we can provide guidance for organizations to identify environmental justice issues in their communities, learn about available resources, and develop solutions.
